The Illinois State Fair Museum Foundation is excited to host the Second
Annual Corndog Kick-off! This fun-filled event will raise funds to build
a new museum to house historic Illinois State Fair memorabilia.
The Corndog Kick-off will include live and silent auctions, activities, live music
and entertainment and food from many favorite Illinois State Fair vendors! The event
will be held on July 11, 2010 - 5:30 p.m. at the Orr Building on the Illinois
State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Illinois.

What is the Corndog Kick-off?
The Corndog Kick-off is the annual benefit auction and food grazing party
hosted by the Illinois State Fair Museum Foundation to generate support and
funds for Illinois State Fair Museum. The event includes live and silent auctions,
activities, local entertainment, and of course – FAIR FOOD!
When will the event be held?
The event will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2010 ~ 5:30 p.m. at the Orr Building on
the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Illinois.
How can I participate?
Everyone who LOVES the Illinois State Fair is invited! Tickets are available to
purchase in advance ~ $40.00 per person or at the door ~ $50.00 per person.
Who benefits from the money raised from this event?
Funds raised from the Corndog Kick-off will benefit the Illinois State Fair
Museum Foundation building fund.
Why preserve the Illinois State Fair legacy?
An Illinois treasure, the Illinois State Fairgrounds is listed on the National
Register of Historic Places, and the Fair has gained international fame through
the years. It plays a vital role in Illinois economy while upholding the link between
Illinois agriculture, achievement, and talent. The Fair is a tradition in Illinois
that we can be proud of, and the Illinois State Fair Museum Foundation is dedicated
to continuing that legacy.
About the Illinois State Fair Museum Foundation
Started in 2006, the Illinois State Fair Museum Foundation is dedicated to preserving,
promoting and understanding the rich heritage, traditions and history of the Illinois
State Fair. It is the goal of the Foundation to build a permanent museum to house
displays of historic memorabilia and provide year-round exhibits and programs for all Fair lovers.
